Yubune Kannondo : Takakura shrine

A place where the legend of Kijindayu remains. Legend has it that once upon a time there lived a skilled swordsmith and a beautiful girl. Once upon a time, a serpent living in Mt. Iwaki fell in love with the girl, changed into a young man named Kijinmaru, and proposed to her. The troubled father imposes an unreasonable task, but the young man manages the task. So the father pretended that the task had not been accomplished and declined the marriage proposal. Fearing revenge, his father consulted with the villagers and established a shrine to enshrine Kijinmaru’s spirit. This is Takakura Shrine.
